JJ Darby joined The Palmetto Policy Group in December of 2004. A graduate of the University of South Carolina and the Republican National Committee Campaign Management College, Darby brings a variety of experiences to the table. From 1993 to 1995 Darby was a consultant for Datalink, Inc. Following his employment as a consultant, Darby went on to be, over the course of 1995 to 2001, a research director, a political director and eventually the executive director for the South Carolina Republican Party.

Darby then took the campaign director position for the Condon for Governor Campaign. Following the campaign Darby was offered the position of finance director for Victory 2002 through the South Carolina Republican Party.

In 2003 Darby accepted the position of director of boards and commissions for the Office of Governor Mark Sanford. Darby then moved back into consulting when he took a position with Richard Quinn & Associates where he was from December 2003 until he came to The Palmetto Policy Group.
